We announce the death of Anne Lee Reath (Kilmarnock, Virginia), who passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 99. Anne will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Anne will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Anne will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Anne’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Joseph Wayne Lee and Laura Lee Thompson Bullitt. She is survived by: her husband Robert Andrews Reath; and her children, Andrews Reath (Blandine), David Brooke Reath (Lisa), Elizabeth Wayne Wineland (Richard), Nancy Reath O'Shaughnessy (John) and Susan Reath Coad (Daryl). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren with her 18th great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Grace Episcopal Church (303 S Main St, Kilmarnock, VA 22482).
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her name to the Rappahannock Art League or the Scholarship Fund at Grace Episcopal Church, Kilmarnock.
