She was predeceased by: her parents, Allie G. Lee and Lena E. Kellum-Lee; her husband Walter Bayne George; and her siblings, Allie G. Lee, Jr., Howard Lee, Frank Goldburn Lee, Sr., Helen Laird Dorman, Peggy George and Essie Jones.
She is survived by: her daughter Sheila Tomlin (Tony); her grandchildren, Jasmyn and Antonio Tomlin; her brother Bud Hearold; and her close friends, Darlene Griffith, Patricia Davenport and Judy Hammell. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Currie Funeral Home (116 E Church St, Kilmarnock, VA 22482). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Corrottoman Baptist Church (48 Ottoman Ferry Rd, Lancaster, VA 22503).
