With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Dudley Biddlecomb (Kilmarnock, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 8, 2025 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mariah McCoullagh and Walter J. Biddlecomb of Cockrell's Creek; and his daughter Amy. He is survived by: his brother Fred; his brother-in-law F. Ray Rogers, Jr.; his friend Charlie Rice; his wife Anita; his son Alfred (Terri); his son-in-law Richard Hunter Beane; and his grandchildren, Andrew, Samantha Biddlecomb and Richard Hunter Bean, III.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Currie Funeral Home (116 E Church St, Kilmarnock, VA 22482). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Roseland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Reedville Fisherman's Museum or the charity of your choice.
