Marshall Riess Smith Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marshall Riess Smith of Kilmarnock, Virginia, who passed away on November 14, 2025, at the age of 38, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandmother Margaret Riess Bowles; his mother Marilyn Bowles Smith; his grandparents, Milton Bowles, Easter Deihl Smith and Orrie Lee Smith Sr.; and his aunts, Mary Margaret Bowles and Melinda R Bowles.

He is survived by: his father Dr. Curtis H. Smith; his siblings, Miles C. Smith and Madison R. Smith; his aunt Betsy Bowles Brown; his uncle Orrie Lee Smith Jr.; and his cousins, Lori Smith Pettit and Chris Smith.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Marshall's honor to the Kilmarnock Volunteer Rescue Squad.
