He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Neal Hoar and Mary Catherine Spence Hoar. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Penny" Stone Hoar; his son Thomas Neal Hoar II; his daughter-in-law Emily Ficklin Hoar; his grandchildren, Thomas Neal Hoar III and Madison Layne Hoar; and his brother David Hoar.
