With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Benjamin Waddy (King George, Virginia), born in Louisa, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 29, 2026 at the age of 95. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Waddy and Gustavia Green Waddy; and his children, Kevin A. Waddy and Darlene Y. Waddy. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Waddy; his children, Benjamin Berry Waddy (Hilda), Karen Michelle Waddy-Pulliam (Ernest), Tamara C. Sager (Jeffrey), Anethia Manns (Gregory) and Daequan Waddy; his grandchildren, Anthony Waddy (Tony), Mia Manns, Landon Waddy and Bentley Waddy; and his friend Duane Wentzel. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church (9294 James Madison Pkwy, King George, VA 22485). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Historyland Memorial Park (11227 James Madison Pkwy, King George, VA 22485).
