It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Earnest Payton (King George, Virginia), who passed away on April 12, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Payton and Geneva Payton of King George; and his brothers, Robert, Raymond and Emmett Payton.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Payton; his sons, Darnell Payton (Tammy) of Fredericksburg, Barry Payton (Melissa) of LaPlace, Louisiana and Terrill Payton of Mobile, Alabama; and his siblings, Herman Payton, Jr. (Alicia), Lawrence Payton (Amy), Ethel Howard (Robert) and Carolyn Stevenson (Anthony). He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
