He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Ruth Cheadle and Thomas S. Cheadle; and his wife Thelma Chenault Cheadle. He is survived by: his children, Charlene Monroe (Jason), Melanie Cheadle Jewell (Dan) and Col. Mark Cheadle; his grandchildren, Phillip Gibbs III (Chrissy), Karen Turcios (Jose), William Jewell, Mason Jewell, Cameron Jewell and Christopher Cheadle; his close friends, Carroll and Janice Springer; and his friends, Ellen Brown and Shawn Palivoda. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
