He is survived by: his sons, Steven D. McDowney and Anthony D. McDowney; the mother of his children Dorothy "Dottie" McDowney; his grandchildren, Zyair Foster and Daisy E. McDowney; his siblings, John H. McDowney, Mark P. McDowney, Earsley J. Robinson (Reginald), Parithia N. McDowney, Sandra R. Redd (Tony) and Kenneth M. McDowney (Patricia); and his aunts and uncles, Earnest McDowney (Webster), Veola McDowney (Jimmy), Tameenah Ardis Dubose and Emma Johnson. He is also survived by extended family including nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
