She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar W. Cifers and Mamie Parker Cifers; her husband Earnest Gordon Toone; her son Ernest Gordon Toone Jr.; her granddaughter Theresa Poole; her siblings, Elsie Reid, Roy and William Cifers; and her son-in-law Richard Peterson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mable Hudson (James) of La Crosse, Betty Jean Peterson (Richard) of Baytown, TX, Carolyn King (Bobby) of La Crosse, Mary Tuck of La Crosse and Judy T. Kidd (George) of La Crosse; her sister Margaret Vaughan of La Crosse; and her daughter-in-law Linda Toone of Brodnax. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren and thirty-seven great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Olive Branch Baptist Church (5223 Blackridge Rd, La Crosse, VA 23950). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
