He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Ann Wood Cave; and his siblings, Carrie Cave, Frances Cave Freeman, Herman Cave, Odis Cave, Clinton Cave and Franklin "Britt" Cave.
He is survived by: his children, Shirley Cave Jessup (Lester) of Mt. Airy, NC, Roger Cave (Kathy) of Mt. Airy, NC, Charles Cave of Mt. Airy, NC, Jimmy Cave (Kelly) of Pinnacle, NC, Betty Cave Adams of Dobson, NC and Lisa Cave Wagoner (Jimmy) of Wytheville, VA; and his siblings, Blanche Whitt and Edward Cave. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
