It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Mabel Edwards Brewer of Lawrenceville, Virginia, who passed away at the age of 95, on April 10, 2024. She was predeceased by : her parents, Reuben Edwards and Ethel Edwards; and her siblings, Kennon Edwards, Marie Wiltshire, Thelma Tisdale and Bobby Edwards.

She is survived by : her husband Wilbur Winston Brewer, Sr.; her children, Denise Brewer Harris (Gayle) and W. Winston Brewer, Jr. (Katrinka); her grandchildren, Ashley Hardin (Lance), Lauren Hofman (Stuart), Wesley Harris, Meredith Fleig, Rebekah Townes (Charles), Matthew Brewer (Deidre), Shannon Marston (Mike), James Newman (Marji) and Katie Byrge (Ben); her great grandchildren, Luke Hardin, Avery Hardin, Madison Hofman, Graham Hofman, Brooklyn Fleig, Charlotte Fleig, Chamberlain Townes, Finley Brewer, Cody Marston, Jaxon Byrge and Michael Byrge; and her sister-in-law June Edwards. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lawrenceville United Methodist Church (300 W Church St, Lawrenceville, VA 23868). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at the Oakwood Cemetery.
