He was predeceased by: his father Thomas W. Grant (Jack); his stepfather Calvin Edmonds (Martin); his sisters, Mary L. Rhodes and Brenda G. Morgan; and his brother-in-law Lloyd Reid, Jr. (Buck).
He is survived by: his wife Lena; his children, Thomas Leon Grant (Sherrell) of Chester, VA and Latisha Danielle Monroe (Justin); his grandchildren, Myesha Grant, Micah Spencer, Jayon Cosby, Isaiah Spencer, Jakobe Goode, Ny'asiah Woolridge, Ramyah Spencer, Stefany Spencer, Olivia Grant, Thomas TJ Grant, Justin Monroe Jr. and Julius Monroe; his great grandchild Aubrey Ridley; his sisters, Cerissa Matthews, Carolyn Rhodes (James), Evelyn Berry (Alvin), Linda Ingram of Richmond, VA, Maxine Edmonds (Donna), Darlene Stith and Ann Thomas of Colonial Heights, VA; his aunts, Louise Thompson, Edith Rhodes, Mary Hicks, Lottie Mae Morgan, Florence Goodrich, Minnie Thompson and Doris Hicks; his uncle Jesse Hicks (Maxine); and his siblings-in-law, Virginia Hill (Eric), Gracie Hardy (Howard), Charles Reid (Teresa), Bobby Rhodes, Thomas Reid and Willie Reid. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
