It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Yvonne Pearson (Lawrenceville, Virginia), who passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hammer Ruffin and Agnes Tucker Ruffin; her brothers, Handsome Ruffin of Lawrenceville Virginia, Roosevelt Ruffin of Lawrenceville Virginia and James Alvin Ruffin of Lawrenceville Virginia; and her siblings-in-law, Louis Singleton of Norfolk, VA, Floyd Booker, Randy Pearson, Queen Elizabeth Pearson, Nellie May Jones and Rose Pearson.
She is survived by: her husband Mack Author Pearson; her children, Michelle Ruffin Puryear (Brian Kieth), Danielle Ruffin Green (Glenwood) and Marcel Ruffin (Danielle); her grandchildren, Marcellus Pearson, Antwione Ruffin and Shadae Ruffin; her great grandchildren, Mykirah, Nevaeh and Marcellus Jr.; her sister Addie B. Singleton (Louis); her siblings-in-law, Barbara, Betty Pearson and Tommy Pearson; and her nieces, Lisa Winston and Patrica Singleton of Norfolk, VA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
