She was predeceased by: her parents, Conley Owens and Villa Shores Owens; her husband William Harvey Buchanan; her daughter Crystal Buchanan Corbett; and her siblings, Sam Owens, Conley Owens Jr., Franklin Owens, Lynn Owens, Dorothy Sheets, Laura Sheets and Ruth Matney.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bonnie Buchanan Parker (Robert) of Rosedale and Susan Buchanan Scialpi (Ralph) of Roanoke; her grandson Victor Hedden (Cynthia) of Wendell, N. C.; her great grandchild Jayme Hedden of Wendell; and her pet Mitzi.
