He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Settle and Louise Anna Settle (Jones); his former wife Gaynelle; his siblings, Glen Settle, Edward Settle (Benny), Nell Lester, Mary Elliot, Jean Mutter, Lula Jackson, Kyle Settle, Shirley Hess and Marvin Settle (Mark); Wyatt James Settle.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Combs Settle; his children, Gary Settle (Linda) of Pylesville, Randy Settle (Joy) of East Alton and Teresa Snow (Jonathan) of Old Hickory, Tennessee.; his grandchildren, Bethany Martin (Jeremy), Andrea Knauer (Nate), Amy Bauer (Bryce), Ben Settle (Julie), David Snow (Robin Lynn), Elizabeth Snow, Matthew Settle (Grace), Luke Settle (Hannah) and Anna Reeder (Corey); and his sister Dot Settle Sword of Cedar Bluff. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
