He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Hancock and Geraldine Shore Hancock. He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Maggie" Hancock; his son Gregory "Stewart" Hancock, Jr. (Amber); his grandchildren, Knox Hancock and Harlow Hancock; his brother Franklin Hyatt Hancock, Jr. (Vee); his niece Marti Luffman; his nephew David Hancock; and his brother-in-law John L. Gulledge, Jr. (Laurie).
