He is survived by: his wife Opal Hess Holmes; his children, Scott Holmes (Connie) of Lebanon and Christina Holmes of Lebanon; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Holmes, II (Santanna), Garrett Senters (Megan), McKenna Boatwright and Bryson Senters; his pet Aries; his great grandchildren, Brantley Boatwright and Hudson Boatwright; and his siblings, Glenn "Bob" Holmes (Vada), Hebrew Holmes (Marg), James "Tuck" Holmes (Donna), Henry Holmes (Inge) and Margaret Hollaway (Claude). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
