She was predeceased by: her parents, Smith Alexander and Georgia Alexander; her husband Gent Stoots, Jr. (Buddy); her daughters, Janet Marie Stoots and Rhonda Kaye Tompa; her son-in-law Bobby Gene Tompa; her grandson-in-law Eric Jeter; her siblings, Betty Clark, Bertha Fife, Ernie Alexander and Eddie Alexander; and her siblings-in-law, Claude Fife, Buster Clark, Bob Stoots, Bill Stoots and Shelby Alexander.
She is survived by: her children, Greg (Sheila), Mike (Lori) and Rita (Darryl); her grandchildren, Amber Williams, Angel Jeter, Amanda Bingaman (Garrett), Ashton Dye (Matt), Alex Tompa (Allyshea), Ariel Groves, Coy Stoots (Taylor), Andy Stoots and Cole Stoots (Madison); her great grandchildren, Dara King, Blake Williams, Aiden Dye, Nevaeh Groves, Carmine Groves, Ruthie Bingaman, Mason Bingaman and Ryder Stoots; her brothers, Kyle Alexander (Hazel) and Danny Alexander; and her siblings-in-law, Butch Stoots (Sharon), Barbara Stoots and Diana Stoots. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Chapel of Combs-Hess Funeral & Cremation Service (291 Fincastle Rd, Lebanon, VA 24266). A funeral service was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A procession was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 10:40 AM at the Combs-Hess Funeral Service (291 Fincastle Rd, Lebanon, VA 24266). A burial was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Russell Memorial Cemetery (154 Huckleberry Rd, Lebanon, VA 24266).
