She was predeceased by: her father Pearl Charles; and her siblings, Jerry Lee Charles and Judy Fean Charles Lockhart. She is survived by: her children, Kimberly Jernigan of Norfolk, VA and David Smith of Lebanon, VA; her siblings, Kermit Charles of Vansant, VA, Arton (Pauline Charles), Geneva (Phillip Willis), Ruby Looney of Vansant, VA, Diane Viers of Vansant, VA and Joetta (Dave Kiser); and her sister-in-law Diane Charles of Haysi.
