He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Otis and Mildred Surber Burkett; and his siblings, Benny Burkett (Judy) and Maxine Benson (Chet). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Wilson Burkett; his siblings, Bill Burkett (Reba), Curtis Burkett (Vicki), Sue Webb (Howard), Bettie Burkett and Patty Prater (Nelson); his daughters, Dana Burkett Hendrickson and Paula Bell; his grandchildren, Nora Sands, Isaac Bell and Sam Bell; his great grandchildren, Wyatt and Waylon Sands; and his caregivers, Sexton, Nancy, Ellen, Lexi, Aubyn, Ambrosia, Kathryn, Diana, Lyndsey, Ashlynn and Aranda. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
