It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thurman Elswick of Lebanon, Virginia, born in Buchanan, Virginia, who passed away on October 5, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Straley Boyd and Brassie Mullins Elswick; his sisters, Lily Frances Daniels and Norma Jean Keen; and his daughter Belinda Suzette Elswick Cole.

He is survived by : his wife Helen Mae Keen Elswick; his children, Linda Carol Elswick Lester of Meadowview, Virginia, Ernest Eugene Elswick of Bristol, Freddie Hubert Elswick of Lebanon and Thurman Hubert Elswick, Jr. (Tonya) of Richlands, Virginia; and his grandchildren, Heather Cole, Aaron McGlothlin, Freddie Elswick, Jr., Anthony Elswick, Dillan Elswick, Amanda Elswick, Jessica Elswick, Crystal, Bobby and Haleigh Brooke Elswick. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
