It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christa Rosa Matthews of Leesburg, Virginia, who passed away on March 23, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Wilhelm Schlaepfer and Anita Schlaepfer; her husband David Matthews; and her brothers, Wilhelm and Kurt Schlaepfer.

She is survived by : her daughters, Alexandra Towell and Caroline Wade; her son-in-law Paul Towell; her grandchildren, Avery Steen, Casey Steen, Cameron Towell (Erin), Selena Wade and Laura Towell; and her siblings, Jutta Locher (Hans) and Ueli Schlaepfer (Rita). She is also survived by twenty nieces and nephews.
