He is survived by: his children, Deborah M. Lawson (Patrick Lawson), Michael Conway Johnson and Vicki M. Johnson; and his grandchildren, Katherine S. Whitaker (Brian Whitaker), Amanda L. Staubs, Christian Johnson (Kacey Johnson) and Chrystal J. Woody (Danny Woody).
