He is survived by: his girlfriend Patricia Exstrom of Leesburg, VA; his daughters, Maureen Mullins (Scott) of Sumerduck, VA and Melinda Nauta (Dave) of Maysville, WV; his siblings, Michael E. Smith (Judy) of Hamilton, VA, Pat Sutphin (Gordon) of Elkview, WV, Susan Kinder (Frank) of Eleanor, WV and Darlene Peters of Florence, SC; and his grandchildren, Ella Mullins, Brian Thacker (Claire), Beth Thacker (Chaz), Shaelin Abernathy (Ethan) and Tiffanie Labrie (Kimmie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
