He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Campbell Abbott; his parents, Francis Abbott and Winifred Abbott; and his mother-in-law Doris Kessler. He is survived by: his sisters, Jean Wood (Chip), Kathy Oxford, Elizabeth Karchmer, Patricia Ashton (Bill) and Christine Wisian (Richard); and his siblings-in-law, Sally Morse (Tom) and Colin Campbell (Inga). He is also survived by nephews and nieces and many, many dear friends.
A reception will immediately follow the burial at the Magnolia Room of Lansdown Woods, 19360 Magnolia Grove Square, Leesburg, VA 20176. in lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice in John's honor.
