She was predeceased by: her husband Herman F. Ambers; her siblings, Mamie Walton and Leroy Davis; and her aunts, Mae Smith and Ruth Wells.
She is survived by: her children, Vince Ambers (Carol) of Ashburn, Jacquelyn Ambers-Martin (Larry) of Sterling, Virginia and Michael Smith; her grandchildren, Ashlee, Jarret, Justis, Lexis and Umar; and her great grandchildren, Zhaye, Cheveyo, Julius, Beau, Harlem and Anu.
