He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Winfrey Mervine and Millie Mervine (Burden); and his brother Philip Lester Mervine. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Helsel Mervine of Leesburg; his children, Deborah L. Myers (Charles) of Springfield, Virginia, Mark W. Mervine (Katie (Slivers) Mervine) of Leesburg, Virginia and Rebeccah L. McCraw (Jay) of Jacksonville, Florida; and his grandsons, Jacob, Joseph Myers and Maxwell Mervine.
