He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Pierce and Daisy Pierce (Middleburg); his daughter Karen Pierce; and his brothers, Fred, Lacy and Mack "Doug" Pierce.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Irene Pierce of Leesburg, VA; his children, Brian Leigh Pierce (Judy) of Bluemont, VA, Brenda Lee Wilkes (Joseph) of Martinsburg, WV, Robert H. Pierce, Jr. of Leesburg, VA, Kevin D. Pierce (Erin) of Lucketts, VA and Jason Pierce; his grandchildren, Jordan, Angelica, Mark, Jocelyn, Brooke, Sarah, Heather, Janet and Madi; and his great grandchildren, Kash, Paisley, Dustin, Chase, Luke, Olivia, Jonathan, Delanie, Danielle and Charlie. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Viewing was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Halls Funeral Home (140 S. Nursery Ave., Purcellville, VA 20132). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Hillsboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice (blueridgecare. org) in appreciation for the compassionate care and support provided to Robert in his final days.
