He was predeceased by: his parents, Norwood Thaxton and Beulah Mooney Thaxton. He is survived by: his sisters, Becky Canfield and JoAnn Skeens; his wife Rebecca; his daughter Cynthia Leonard (Ryan); and his grandchildren, Jackson and Madeline Leonard. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.
