He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mothers, Dale Alan Harshfield and Opal Mae Harshfield (Crouch); his wife Elizabeth Vu-Harshfield; his stepchildren, Andy Nguyen and Ann Nguyen of Leesburg, VA; his brothers, John (Gloria) and Doug (Sue) of Seattle, WA; his children, Holly Megay of Boulder, CO, Robert Harshfield of Oak Park, CA and James Harshfield of Manitou Springs, CO; and his brothers, Dennis and Jeff. He was also cherished by his friends and family.
