He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Simpson and Margaret Rudd Simpson; and his brothers, John Rudd Simpson (Jack) and Robert Carlton Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Charlene Trenary Simpson; his daughters, Kristen Creighton (Paul) of Alexandria and Kelly Peters (Bill) of Ashburn; and his grandchildren, Lily, Alex Peters, Eva and Sylvie Creighton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
