He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Christopher and Ruth Spears Knight; his son Gregory Alan Knight; and his siblings, Elizabeth M. Plemon and Bobby Knight.

He is survived by: his wife June (Toms); his daughter Tina (Marcus Pluntke); and his grandson Kellen Pluntke. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
