He is survived by: his mother Mary Ann Schimanski Getty; his wife Christine Neufer Getty; his mother-in-law Sharon Neufer; his children, Frederick Christopher Getty and MaryHelen Frances Getty; his siblings, Deborah Getty Riley (Edward C. Riley, Jr.), Christopher Getty (Michelle Getty) and Daniel Getty; his brother-in-law Mark Neufer (Brandi Neufer); and his nieces and nephews, Rachel Getty, Kaitlyn Getty, Andrew Neufer, Elise Neufer, Edward C. Riley, III, Colton Getty, Ayoka Pendleton and Akil Pendleton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Middlebrook Hounds Hunt Club (359 McKamy Springs Road, Middlebrook, VA 24459) for the care and support of his Penn-Marydel hounds or to the LOW Fire & Rescue Department (104 Lakeview Parkway, Locust Grove, VA 22508).
