It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harry Edwin Brown Jr. of Locust Grove, Virginia, who passed away on February 22, 2026, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Brown Sr. and Mildred Brown (Hoffman); and his siblings, Maureen Grove (Payne), Nancy Goodman (Bob), Don, Reggie, Ronnie and Mickey.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Brown (Mutter); his sons, Keith (Carol), Bud (Michelle) and Scott (Lindsey); his sister Catherine Bunke (Fred); his grandchildren, Carissa, Blakeley, Mickey, Spencer, Josiah, Caleb, Jessica, Sarah, Rachel, Scotty, Colton and Coralie; his great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Seth, Paloma, Eunice, Milo, Shepard, Feeny and Cannon; and his brothers, Mitchell and Tim Mutter.
In lieu of flowers, Harry wished that donations be made to The Lake of the Woods Church or the Washington National Cathedral, 3101 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington, D.C. 20016, or to a charity of your choice.
