It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Horace Page Effinger of Locust Grove, Virginia, born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on December 20, 2023, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, James Effinger and Bernice Effinger. He is survived by : his wife Muriel Lisa Smith; his children, Rashedia Effinger, Jessica McNeill, Talisa Paige Effinger, Bailey Effinger and Terrence Effinger; his grandchildren, Angelique Highsmith, Madison Effinger and Brielle McNeill; and his pet Prada.

The family requests any memorial gifts be donated to the family or in Horace's honor to the many Institutes of Cancer Research for African-Americans.
