He was predeceased by : his wife Barbara Rueckert (Leonhardt); and his parents, John Rueckert and Hilda Rueckert. He is survived by : his children, John E. Rueckert, Jr. (Mary) of Callaway, VA, David P. Rueckert of Hampton, VA and Deborah J. Traks (Bruce Traks) of Fayetteville, PA; and his grandchild Maximus C. Traks.
