It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Wesley Hawkins Sr. (Locust Grove, Virginia), born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on October 14, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Hawkins and Rose Hawkins; his brother Steven Hawkins; and his son John Hawkins, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his children, Rhonda Smith (Chris), Tracey Diederich (Chuck) and Trevor Diederich (Cate); his granddaughters, Erin Smith, Cara Smith, Elsa Diederich and Evelyn Diederich; and his sister Phyllis King (Joe). He is also survived by many loving nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory (31440 Constitution Hwy, Locust Grove, VA 22508). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
