He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene LaPrade Pugh and Fleda Tucker Pugh; and his siblings, Ellis Pugh and Joan Moorefield. He is survived by: his wife Lucille Brooks Pugh; his daughter Connie Mae Pugh (Joe) of Hurt; and his sister Nora Lea Saunders of Rustburg.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, Inc.. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Mulberry Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Renan Volunteer Fire Department, Hurt Volunteer Fire Department, Halifax Volunteer Fire Department, and the Pittsylvania County Pet Center in Chatham.
