It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clifton Raymond Rector of Lorton, Virginia, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on May 16, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Leven Rector and Josephine Rector. He is survived by : his wife Edith Rector; his sons, Leon Carter, Clifton J. Rector and Andrew Rector; and his siblings, Levering Rector, James Rector (Agnes), Jacquline Carter and Joann Smith (Rodney). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

“Cliff, aka Snake, and I worked together for 14 years. One thing he always ensured was my safety when traveling on business. I was lucky enough to be one of the few he was fond of and tolerated because his wrath was no joke. He was extremely dedicated, knowledgeable, and resourceful. I have missed him since retirement and heartbroken to learn of his passing. I share prayers with his family and express sincerest condolences!”
