He was predeceased by : his parents, John Collyer and Marjorie Collyer; his brother Curt Collyer; his wives, Mary and Barbara Collyer; and his son Jim Collyer.

He is survived by : his children, Terri Shannon (Andy), Bob Collyer (Nancy) and Darry Collyer (Brandi).
