With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stella Mae Petitt of Lorton, Virginia, born in Alexandria, Virginia, who passed away on May 17, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Edward Petitt Jr.; and her daughter Teresa A. House. She is survived by: her children, Dawn M. Kane and Charles Edward Petitt III (Kimberly); her grandchildren, Danielle Pick, Wesley Wildman, Erica Kane, Billy Kane, Charles Edward Petitt IV, Tyler Petitt and Taylor Petitt; and her great grandchildren, Laila, Kaia, Conor, Lakelynn, Charles V., Mason, Claire, Teagan, Ivy and Stella.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jefferson Funeral Chapel (5755 Castlewellan Dr, Alexandria, VA 22315). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Mt. Comfort Cemetery (6600 S Kings Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22306).
