He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Donald O'Connell and Rebecca Adelaide Hyler; his wife Cathy Hall O'Connell of Beaverdam, VA; and his sisters, Mary Margaret O'Connell Clough and Theresa Lynne O'Connell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer O'Connell Richardson (Jeremy) and Amanda Kay O'Connell; his grandson Gavin Patrick O'Connell; and his sister Rebecca O'Connell Jaciuk.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Woodward Funeral Home (200 Fredericksburg Ave, Louisa, VA 23093). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Church (1107 Fredericks Hall Rd, Bumpass, VA 23024).
