She was predeceased by: her parents, Ollie Newby and Irene Newby; her brothers, Ollie Newby Jr. and Thomas B. Newby; and her stepson Russell B. Baker.
She is survived by: her husband Richard B. Baker; her son Gary E. Cooper (Ashley); her stepdaughter Jackie L. Butler (Charlie); and her sister Rosemarie Orrison of San Antonio, TX.. She is also survived by three grandchildren, three step grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, six step great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Woodward Funeral Home (200 Fredericksburg Ave, Louisa, VA 23093). A committal service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery.
