Margaret leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Margaret’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Margaret will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Henry "Jack" Saunders and Margaret Maria Purvis Saunders; and her brother Samuel Clay "Sammy" Saunders. She is survived by: her husband Frank N. Johnson; her children, Andee Murray (Joe) of Charlottesville, Tim Johnson (Sherry) of Charlottesville and Brenna Peyton (Dwayne) of Nashville, TN; her sister Trudy Helms of Smyrna, TN; and her granddaughters, Maggie Murray, Erin Murray, Kylie Keating and Mackenzie Keating.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Shipman Baptist Church (66 Church St, Shipman, VA 22971). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
