She was predeceased by: her parents, Altha Pearl and Perry Decatur Kite; her brothers, Lynwood Lee and Bertram W. Kite, Sr.; and her close friend Kenneth Graff.
She is survived by: her husband Herman Hoye Hott, Jr.; her children, H. Hoye Hott III (Gayle) of Gordonsville and Vonna Lou Hott (Jeff Cave) of Shenandoah; her grandchildren, Dana Hott Graves (Channing) and Ryan Hott (Monica); her great grandchildren, Logan Crickenberger, Thomas, Connor Graves, Leah and Caleb Hott; her nieces, Pauletta Lockridge, Nancy Racer, Carolyn "Kitti" Kyger and Patricia Simons; her nephew Bertram W. Kite, Jr.; her sister-in-law Norma Johnson of Charles Town, WVA; and her close friend Phyllis. She is also survived by twelve great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (6433 US-340, Shenandoah, VA 22849).
