He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Lewis Newman and Viola James Creasy Newman; his wife Delores Goff Newman; his daughter Cynthia Nichols (Haden); his grandchildren, Morgan Faye McPeters (Benjamin), Colton Brian Claiborne, Olivia Elizabeth Dean, Kevin James Nichols (Virginia) and Kimberley Lynn Nichols; his great grandchildren, Michael Nichols, Luke Nichols and Jeremiah Nichols; and his sisters, Barbara Hayes and Linda Whitmore.
