He is survived by: his sons, Albert Bayes Jr., Curey L. Bayes and Garland Bayes; his brother Clayton Bayes; his children, Doyle Lee Smith, Ella Colmore and Aubrey Brown; his grandchildren, Stephanie Irving, Umeko Brown, Tyrone Colmore Jr., Mrk Quette Turpin, Teyon Turpin, Donta Brown, Derick Johnson, Allison Johnson, Washika Arnold, Umeko Smith and Sabian Barnes; his nephews, Vincent Bayes and James E. Rose; and his niece Shirley R. Jackson. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
