With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Albert Jack Spencer of Lynchburg, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 17, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Monroe and Celia Hill Spencer; and his half-sister Jessie Claridge. He is survived by: his wife Annese Singleton Spencer; his children, Vernnese S. Leger, Andre L. Spencer (Jeanne Leffler) and Jewell Venitra S. Newton (F. W. Newton Jr.); his grandchildren, Renée Nicole Leger, Kizzy English (Dan Beaty), Jessica Annese Spencer and V'Dell Annese Newton; his nephews, Allen and Kirk Claridge; and his close friends, Robert Jones and Stacy Tinner.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jackson Street United Methodist Church (901 Jackson St, Lynchburg, VA 24504). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
