We announce the death of Annie Newton Cofflin (Lynchburg, Virginia), who passed away on June 18, 2026, at the age of 87. Annie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse W. Newton and Mabel M. Newton; her husband Aubrey Cecil Cofflin; and her sister Barbara Newton. She is survived by: her children, Patricia Garrett (James Garrett), David Cofflin (Patricia Cofflin) and Mark Cofflin (Rebecca Cofflin); and her siblings, Curtis Newton, Tom Newton, Audrey Fields and Wayne Newton. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
